Its a New Year

Welcome to the first entry here at kiwiot.com.
Its the start of 2006, a new year full of opportunities, adventures, and good times. 2006 finds me still in Korea teaching English and loving the life. I just came back from a week in Thailand which was nothing short of superb. My friend Brian that I used to work with last year is now living in Thailand on an Island called Koh Tao. He's taken up diving for a living and I don't blame him, in fact I'm seriously considering doing the same thing at the end of this year, but that's a long way off so who knows.
I'd like to start the year by wising the following people congratulations.
Will and Katie on their engagement
Grant and Sam who are also now engaged
and Josh and Becs who got married in December.
Wow how life passes by faster and faster every day. It still seems like yesterday I was catching crayfish with Kent, making trips to Wellington to hang with everyone there and dragging down the main street of Dunedin in Nathans car.
This site however is not for delving into the past. Sure there are great memories there, but life stops for no one, so as a New Years resolution I am trying to keep those who care as up-to-date as possible with my life and what has been happening on this side of the world, both now and in the future.
Life after Thailand has moved back into its normal pace with work, as we all know taking up the majority of our lives, well maybe a little less for me. Currently an average teaching day starts at around 3pm finishing at 9.30 at night and you what, I really like the night-time hours. I wake in the morning complete the daily tasks and have free time to do what I want to do instead of coming home at 6pm, cooking dinner, watching TV and going to bed.
This latest project (kiwiot) which will shortly have a new photo album will be the replacement for e-fatti which has become a little out-dated.
So here we are 2006, Kiwiot.com and lots of more to come.
